Today, we've released Stacker AI to the public. A new, fully AI-powered platform for building business software conversationally. It's the next step in our mission to bring the power of software to everyone.
We want to be clear about what this is and isn't. Stacker AI is not an update to Stacker Classic or Stacker Astra. It's a brand new product, built from the ground up. It sits alongside Classic and Astra rather than replacing them.
If you're happily building on Classic or Astra today, nothing changes for you right now. Your apps still work, your data is still there, and we're still here to support you.
What this means for you
Here's the practical stuff:
- Your existing apps are unaffected. Everything you've built on Classic or Astra continues to work exactly as it does today.
- We're continuing to support Classic and Astra. We're not pulling the plug on either platform. If you're running your business on them, we’re not changing anything.
- Stacker AI is a separate product with separate billing. It's not bundled into your existing plan, and your current subscription doesn't include access to Stacker AI.
- No action is required on your part. You don't need to do anything differently. This guide is here so you know what's going on and what your options are.
Should I switch to Stacker AI?
That depends on where you are and what you need. Here's our honest take:
Stacker AI might be a great fit if you're:
- Starting a new project and want to build it quickly from scratch
- Building portals for clients, partners, or vendors and want to get up and running fast
- Less technical and want to build by having a conversation rather than learning a platform
- Curious about what's possible with an AI-first approach
You might want to stay on Classic or Astra for now if you're:
- Running complex apps that are already working well for your business
- Not in a position to invest time exploring a new platform right now
There's no pressure either way. You can explore Stacker AI on the side whenever you're ready.
Can I migrate my app?
No, Stacker AI is a separate product from Stacker Classic or Stacker Astra.
If you’d like to use Stacker AI instead of Stacker Classic or Stacker Astra for your use case, then here are some things to keep in mind:
- Our team can help. If you're interested in rebuilding on Stacker AI, we're happy to walk you through the process and help you figure out the best approach.
- Your data can come with you. If you're using Airtable, Google Sheets, HubSpot, Salesforce, or any of our other supported data sources, you can connect that same data to a new Stacker AI app. Your data layer doesn't have to change, even if the app layer does.
- It's faster than you'd think. Because Stacker AI is conversational, rebuilding an app that took you weeks in Classic or Astra might only take a few hours. It's worth trying, you might surprise yourself.

What's the relationship between Stacker AI, Stacker Astra, and Stacker Classic?
We have three products. Stacker Classic and Stacker Astra are our existing no-code tools that many of you have been building with for years. Stacker Astra introduced some AI features on top of that foundation. Stacker AI is something different — a brand new platform, built from the ground up to be fully AI-powered. We're committed to all three, and we'll keep you posted as things evolve.
Does Stacker AI connect to my existing data sources?
Probably! Today, Stacker AI connects to Airtable, Google Sheets, HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho CRM, Stripe, Monday.com, Asana, ClickUp, Notion, Fibery, Xero, QuickBooks Online, Pylon, SourceWhale, Calendly, and GoHighLevel. If your tool isn't on that list, let us know — we can build new integrations quickly.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes! You can set up a custom domain so that your portal feels like a natural part of your brand. Details are in our docs, or our team can walk you through it.
What can I build with Stacker AI?
Stacker AI is especially good at portals — client portals, partner portals, vendor portals, anything where you need to give people outside your team a secure way to interact with your business. But it can also build internal tools, dashboards, and workflow apps. Describe what you need and see what it comes up with.
How is Stacker AI different from tools like Lovable or Cursor?
Tools like Lovable and Cursor are fantastic for generating code from scratch. Stacker AI is purpose-built for portals and business software, with authentication, permissions, data sync, and hosting baked into the platform. You don't generate code and figure out deployment — you have a conversation and get working software you can share with people today.
